Have you ever known about Andy Ross or secret dacota ring? Yes, he is an American Musician and a member of rock band OK Go. But his debut as Secret Dacota Ring is really good. His debut is performed at Google Artists. You must try to hear his songs, because they will not disappoint you. His first album was a hit and I really love it. Based on his background, you won’t be disappointed. Mostly, when we hear it about famous singer, he or she only able to play piano or guitar only, but, secret dacota ring is not a like that at all. Indeed, he is a keyboardist, guitarist, and also vocalist. Yap, this is so wonderful right?
Well, actually if you hear the word of secret dacota ring do not imagine that this is a group band. Actually this is a project made by Andy Ross that is why I said “he” before. It is almost same like owl city. It sounds like a group but actually it is not. It is same in secret dacota ring. This name is only a stage name of Andy Ross and this is a solo project. So far, he only releases two albums in 2004 and 2008 based on his own record label, Serious Business record. One of my favorite is when they songs with acapella instead of full band. It feels so soft, relaxing, and also beautiful. I prefer their acoustic performance actually with guitar as the main centre of the instrumental music, a bit sounds country but not that much while the lyric is so soft and peaceful. The two of my favorite is “I don’t Know about My City” and also “I Blew Myself Up Over You”.

Eventhough, as a woman there is one songs I scared most of in 2008 in lp form. It is entitled by Organikismeness in Motion LP Dust Step. Well, I think the music instrumental is a bit scary it sounds like someone is shouting and cracking. Well, it does not make my mind full of peace actually. Also you must remember, they started their daily activities and playing the musical instrument TOGETHER. The vocalist start to sing, tell you how hard to stay alive in busy city Chicago. After finishing their morning habit, they went outside their home. Next they met together in a small apartment and had their band training. Although this video plot is simple, I think this video is good and make me easier know what this song means.

Not only the video is good, the meaning of the lyric is also great. This song lyric tells us about how hard life it is whenever you are (in Chicago or not) and you must survive. Listening this song also booster up my mood and make me enjoy my daily life. I think the movie director was right to chose this song as a soundtrack.
